Our mission is simple: to provide fellow Pet Parents peace of mind by placing reliable, compassionate care center-stage where your pets can claim the spotlight and feel like the celebrity starlets they are, regardless of where you are.

Our goal is to deliver show-stopping services that are always deserving of your pets’ Round-of-A-Claws. Your standing ovation is our motivation to go above and beyond!

Your Friendly Neighborhood Critter Sitter

My name is Alexis May, the “Artistic Director” behind Round-of-A-Claws, your go-to Critter Sitter in New Orleans and fellow Pet Parent who understands pets are far more than just pets, they’re family. That’s why I believe every fur (and scale) baby deserves no less than to be placed in the spotlight of top notch care.

I’ve always been one who wears many hats and held many titles. From dancer and choreographer, to actor and Horror connoisseur, to Cosmetologist and crafter, I’ve been known to find ways to pursue and combine my endless list of passionate interests. One of my biggest passions has always been my love for animals, and those who know me will be the first to confirm that I proudly proclaim all of my pet “prima donnas” as my children. Which is exactly why I decided to open Round-of-A-Claws for business, not only for freedom and flexibility to continue pursuing my passions, but also to extend my passion for pet care to compassion for caring for your pets as my own.

I possess years of experience owning and caring for creatures of all walks of life from typical cats and dogs, to rodents and mustelids, to reptiles, and insects and arachnids. No matter their claws (or naws) I says “Awes!” So whether your pet children are soft and fuzzy, scaley, feathery, or even “creepy crawly,” rest assured that you, too, can pursue more of what you want to do knowing your little starlets are still receiving A-list celebrity treatment wherever your absence takes you.
